All your social networks in one place
- Well designed
- Good twitter integration
- Works with Evernote
- Facebook is too basic
- Feels unfinished
Seesmic is a multiple social network app, now on the iPhone. Bring together tons of networks and manage them in a single place.
While you can manage lots of things in Seesmic, the main interface is thankfully clean and uncluttered. Each page has four panels, and you can add Twitter accounts, searches, lists or trending topics as well as Facebook and Ping.fm accounts. Ping.fm allows you to manage pretty much any social network in itself.
The Twitter functions are good, although not outstanding. A neat Seesmic feature is that you can share any link in Evernote, if you have it installed too. Being able to have lists and searches available at the touch of the button is excellent though.
Seesmic's Facebook integration is pretty basic, and beyond updating your status won't do much. Ping.fm is pretty similar, but useful in that you can post to multiple social networks at the same time.
Overall, Seesmic is a good idea, and the basic design is user friendly. However, it feels a little rough around the edges at the moment and needs further development before it really becomes a one stop shop for your social networking needs.
- Fix for a change in Twitter's Trending Topics.
